In 2020, Forrest Wilson and his wife, Keen, purchased Tops Countertops from founders John and Valerie Teters, continuing the company’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and community involvement.
Before acquiring Tops, Forrest served as a United States Marine and intelligence analyst before pursuing his MBA at the University of North Carolina Kenan Flagler Business School. Following graduate school, he worked as a Research Associate at JP Morgan covering publicly traded telecommunications and cable companies before joining Sprint, where he served as a Staff Operations Director and worked alongside CEO Marcelo Claure during Sprint’s merger with T Mobile.
Following the merger announcement, Forrest joined SoftBank in Tokyo, one of the world’s largest venture capital firms, where he worked closely with executive leadership and gained valuable experience supporting businesses around the globe.
After years of international travel and corporate leadership experience, Forrest and Keen decided to pursue a different path. Seeking an opportunity to build something meaningful closer to home and spend more time with family, they acquired Tops Countertops and began investing in the people, technology, and processes that continue to drive the company forward today.
Under Forrest’s leadership, Tops has expanded its capabilities while maintaining the customer first values that have defined the company since 1999. His focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, employee development, and customer satisfaction has helped position Tops as one of the South Sound’s leading countertop fabrication and installation companies.
Outside of work, Forrest enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest, exploring Washington’s rugged coastline, and visiting the Olympia Farmers Market. His passion for travel has taken him to nine countries, and he has spent nearly a year of his life abroad through work, education, and international experiences that helped shape his perspective on leadership, culture, and business.
