Why homeowners choose Quartz

The look of stone, without the upkeep.

Quartz is engineered from ground natural quartz bound with resin, which makes it non-porous: it never needs sealing, it will not absorb wine, coffee or cooking oil, and everyday cleanup is soap and water. For a busy family kitchen, it is the lowest-maintenance surface we install.

Because it is manufactured rather than quarried, color and pattern stay consistent from slab to slab — an advantage on large kitchens that need two or three slabs to match. We stock Cambria, Caesarstone, MSI, Corian Quartz, HanStone, Pental and Cosentino, with in-stock slabs ready for fast turnaround.

Built to last

Why quartz holds up.

Naturally durable

Resists abrasion, scratching and everyday wear better than most solid surfaces.

Stain resistant

Its non-porous surface keeps coffee, wine, oil, and juice from soaking in, so spills wipe right off.

No sealing, ever

Quartz never needs sealing or resealing, so there's no yearly maintenance to remember.

Hygienic surface

With no pores for moisture to get into, quartz resists bacteria and mildew, which makes it a smart choice for food prep.

Consistent color

Pattern repeats slab to slab, which keeps big multi-slab kitchens looking intentional.

Lasting beauty

Quartz keeps its color and finish for years with nothing more than mild soap and water.

Frequent Quartz Questions

Straight answers about sealing, durability, grades and cost.

Quartz countertops are engineered stone. They’re made from about 90–93% ground natural quartz, bound with resins and pigments. This gives you the strength of natural stone with a consistent color and pattern, including styles that look like marble or concrete.

Granite is a natural stone cut straight from the earth, so every slab is one of a kind, with its own veining and color. Quartz is engineered, so its look is more uniform and predictable. Granite is porous and needs to be sealed from time to time to resist stains. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing. Granite holds up better to direct heat and sunlight, while quartz is more resistant to staining and needs less upkeep day to day.

Quartz is non-porous, so liquids like wine, coffee, and oil can’t soak in. That makes it resistant to stains and bacteria, and you’ll never have to reseal it.

We don’t recommend it. Quartz is durable, but the resins that bind it can scorch or discolor under high heat or a sudden temperature change. Use trivets or hot pads under pots, pans, and appliances like slow cookers.

For daily cleaning, use warm water, a mild dish soap, and a soft cloth or sponge. Stay away from harsh chemicals like bleach, oven cleaner, and abrasive scrubbing pads, because they can dull the surface. Wipe up spills quickly and use a cutting board, and your quartz should keep looking new for years.
