Are you planning to upgrade your kitchen countertops? At Tops Countertops, we understand that the countertop template appointment and installation process can feel overwhelming. To ensure a seamless experience from start to finish, we have created this comprehensive guide that covers everything you need to know.
Your Countertop Template Appointment: Ensuring an Exact Fit
When it comes to measuring your countertop area, we utilize advanced laser measurement technology, guaranteeing an exact fit for your countertops. During the template appointment, it’s essential to have a decision-maker (such as the homeowner) present to meet with our Measurement Technician.
Preparing for Your Countertop Template Appointment:
To ensure a smooth template appointment, here’s what you need to have ready:
- Sinks (if provided by you): Make sure they are on-site and in their original box with a model number.
- Cabinets, end panels, and farmhouse sinks: Ensure they are properly set, if applicable.
- Clear off your cabinets or existing countertops: Remove all clutter and ensure they are fully cleared off.
- Faucets and other Fixtures: Have them available on-site for our Measurement Technician.
- Stove, Cooktop, Downdraft, and Other Cutouts: Have them available on-site for our Measurement Technician.
Installation Appointment: Quick and Efficient Countertop Installation
On the day of your installation appointment, our experienced Countertop Installers will arrive with your new countertops. Even projects that involve the removal of existing countertops are typically completed in less than a day. If your project requires a seam or seams, we use epoxy to ensure a seamless finish. Our installers use a specialized dye kit to color-match the epoxy to your countertop, and any odor will dissipate quickly. While your counters will be ready for use once the installation is complete, please note that plumbing connections cannot be made until the next day.
Preparing for Your Countertop Installation Appointment:
To ensure a hassle-free installation, please follow these guidelines:
- Clear out sink cabinets: Remove any items stored there to provide easy access for our installers.
- Create a clear path: Clear the way for our installers to carry in your new countertops.
- Remove appliances: Except for the dishwasher and those positioned above the counter, such as a microhood, remove all other appliances. If needed, we can provide this service by prior arrangement or for an additional charge.
